Ian Delahunty

CEO | President

Mr. Delahunty is a San Juan Basin native from Farmington, NM and is graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Mr. Delahunty started his career with Schlumberger as a Reservoir Evaluation Wireline engineer in Vietnam, offshore South China Sea. Following his international and domestic tenures at Schlumberger, he joined Occidental Petroleum as a Completions Engineer for the Elk Hills Field in California.

 

Mr. Delahunty left Occidental in 2008 to join start-up TransAtlantic Petroleum to support its Morocco and Romania exploration activities. He subsequently held the roles of Operations Manager (Bucharest, Romania), Vice President Engineering (Istanbul, Turkey), Executive Vice President Business Development, and finally President (Dallas, TX). As President, he led the company's restructuring process during the transition to its Dallas headquarters and developed the company's focused asset development strategy, asset teams, well surveillance processes which resulted in a 50% increase in production. In May of 2014 Mr. Delahunty made the decision to step down as President of TransAtlantic to found Juniper Resources.

 

Mr. Delahunty is a co-founder of Juniper Resources and resides in Dallas, TX.

Steve Escaler

Vice President | CFO

Mr. Escaler joined Juniper Resources in February 2016 and serves as our Vice President and CFO. Prior to joining Juniper, Mr. Escaler spent 17 years as an investment banker, advising oil and gas companies on a broad range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions and capital raising. He began his career in 1998 at Citigroup as an investment banking analyst focused on the oil and gas sector. In 2008, he joined Morgan Stanley's oil and gas investment banking group as a Vice President. In 2011, he joined UBS Investment Bank as an Executive Director, focused on exploration and production. During the course of his investment banking career, Mr. Escaler served as lead advisor on over 100 completed M&A and financing transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $200 billion.

 

Mr. Escaler holds a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. in Finance from the University of London. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Matt Strickler

Vice President of Land

Mr. Strickler is a San Juan Basin native from Farmington, NM and is graduate of Texas Tech University with a BA in Petroleum Land Management. Mr. Strickler has served as a Landman and Vice President Land for Riata Energy and Longfellow Energy in in Amarillo, TX and Oklahoma City, OK, respectively; Country Manager for Laco in Sao Paolo, Brazil; Vice President Land in Bucharest Romania for TransAtlantic Romania; Vice President of Land and Government Affairs in Istanbul, Turkey for TransAtlantic Turkey.

 

Prior to co-founding Juniper Resources, Mr. Strickler was an early mover in the Mancos Oil play and developed several core acreage positions within the San Juan Basin.

 

Mr. Strickler heads the Company's land department in Dallas, TX.

Justin Davis

Vice President of Engineering | Operations

Mr. Davis joined Juniper Resources in March 2017 and serves as our Vice President of Engineering & Operations. Prior to joining Juniper, Mr. Davis spent 8 years at TransAtlantic Petroleum in various management roles. Most recently he spent 4 years as the VP of Engineering where he led the completions, production and reservoir engineering groups. During this time he successfully managed the company's multi-disciplinary asset teams, corporate budgeting and banking relationships and the review and approval of corporate reserve reports and technical SEC filings. He also spent 2 years as VP-Operations for TransAtlantic's fully integrated service company subsidiary where he was instrumental in growing the company so that it could ultimately be spun off.

 

Prior to his time at TransAtlantic, Mr. Davis worked for SandRidge Energy (previously Riata Energy, LLC.) from 2003 to 2008. During this time he held various technical and management roles primarily in the completions group where he designed, and executed, hundreds of stimulations in West Texas and the Piceance Basin.

 

Mr. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University.

Lee Todd

Vice President of Geology

Mr. Todd joined Juniper Resources in December 2017 and serves as our Vice President of Geology. Prior to joining Juniper, Mr. Todd's industry experience includes 11 years with XTO Energy, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil. During that time, he served as Regional Geologist and generated 1.4 Bbo and 5.4 Tcf in reserves in the Permian, Raton, Fort Worth, and East Texas Basins. Mr. Todd also worked with the acquisitions team to evaluate multiple companies for possible purchase, and was part of the team that recommended the $6.6 billion acquisition of Bass Operating Company. Mr. Todd's operational experience at XTO involved planning and developing oil and natural gas fields consisting of vertical and horizontal wells targeting multiple horizons, and evaluating older wells to find overlooked zones of production. This experience also included drilling 200+ horizontal and vertical wells.

 

Mr. Todd holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and a Master of Science in Environmental Science from Texas Christian University.

Sabina Kraushaar

Geologist and Geotech

Ms. Kraushaar is a San Juan Basin native and grew up in Durango, CO. She started out as a consultant for Juniper Resources in 2016, and then became a full-time employee in January 2017. Prior to joining Juniper, Ms. Kraushaar was the Owner/Chief Geologist at SMK Geoscience and provided consulting services to clients in the four corners region. Her recent projects include using Petra software to help develop and characterize prospects in the productive Mancos/Gallup interval on the Jicarilla Apache Nation in the San Juan Basin, and utilizing 3D seismic data and Kingdom software to develop leads/prospects in south Louisiana. Ms. Kraushaar has also been a faculty instructor at East Carolina University's geology field camp based in Taos, NM, since 2014.

 

Ms. Kraushaar holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Fort Lewis College, and a Master of Science in Geology from University of Nevada, Reno. She currently resides in Dolores, CO and works out of the San Juan Basin district office.

Amanda Palmer

Petroleum Engineer

Ms. Palmer joined Juniper Resources in November 2015. She serves as a reservoir engineer as well as office manager for the Dallas office, assisting in accounting functions and various support of the Juniper staff. She is proficient in PHDWin and Spotfire and utilizes this software for the team's modeling needs in the San Juan Basin.

 

Ms. Palmer holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. She currently resides in Dallas, TX.

Adam Martinez

Production Superintendent
